Booking
Booking your session is a breeze. You can complete the form below or call me directly on 0403 900 873. I’ll happily guide you through the process, answer your questions, and help you choose the collection that’s perfect for your family. If I’m in a session, I may need to return your call as soon as I’m free..
Session
Before your session, you'll receive several emails with reminders and information to ensure you’re well-prepared. On the day, we’ll start with hair and makeup if you have chosen this as an option, followed by capturing four to five different sets. Expect to spend 2-3 hours in the studio, where everything will be ready for you.
Ordering
One week after your session, or even on the same day, you can schedule an ordering appointment. We’ll curate your photo selection, choose delivery preferences, and create a personalised album or our signature keepsake box.You can visualise wall art collections on your walls, with my assistance to find the perfect fit for your home.
Delivery
All digital products are delivered within 48 hours of your ordering appointment after final payment. You’ll receive a link to your personalised gallery for safe keeping and convenient downloads. For product delivery, albums take up to 6 weeks, wall art up to 4 weeks, and our beautiful keepsake box up to 3 weeks. Choose to pick up your products at the studio or have them shipped to your home.

Welcoming a new baby is a beautiful whirlwind —
and I'm so glad you're here, considering how to preserve these precious early days.
This guide is designed to help you feel completely prepared for your newborn session, from when to
book and what to bring, to what really happens during the shoot. My goal is to make your experience effortless and memorable, with timeless images you'll treasure forever.
When Should I Book My Session?
Timing is everything — and flexibility is key.
I recommend booking during your second or early third trimester to ensure availability.
We pencil in a tentative session for 7-12 days after your due date, then confirm once baby has arrived.
This window is ideal for sleepy, curled-up poses - though we always follow baby's lead.
What Happens on the Day?
Newborn sessions take place in my cozy Brisbane
studio, fully equipped with:
Beautiful wraps, knits, and props
A temperature-controlled environment
Gentle, baby-led posing and lots of patience
You'll arrive, settle in, and have time to relax.
The session usually takes 2-3 hours depending on
feeding, settling, and setups.
What Should Baby Wear?
Less is more (and we provide everything).
For your session, baby will be gently wrapped in
soft textures and neutral tones, using colours that complement your style and preferences.
You don't need to bring outfits unless you have
something special in mind. Everything in the studio is carefully selected to create timeless, organic-looking images.
What should we bring?
Nappies + wipes
Spare formula or bottles if not breastfeeding
A dummy (if baby uses one)
Any heirloom items you may want photographed
Light snacks and water for yourself
Patience — and trust that we'll go at baby's pace!
✨ How to Reserve Your Newborn Session
Reserving your newborn session with Newborn Magic is simple and stress-free.
✔️ A $200 booking deposit is required to secure your spot.
✔️ This deposit is fully credited toward your chosen collection.
✔️ A minimum spend of $895 (Petite Collection) applies to all bookings.
There are no hidden session fees — your deposit goes straight toward the collection you select. This way, everything is upfront, transparent, and easy.
When booking, we’ll pencil in a tentative date based on your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll confirm the perfect time within that precious newborn window (ideally between 7–14 days).
If you’re not ready to decide on a collection yet, that’s absolutely fine — many parents wait until after the session. I’ll guide you through all of the options, making it easy to choose what feels right for your family.
We also offer flexible payment options, including Afterpay, Payright, direct deposit, and credit card in-house.
